Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Christian Benteke from Liverpool, the London club announced on Saturday.
Benteke, who joined Liverpool only last season, reportedly cost Palace around £27m.
"Crystal Palace have signed Belgium international striker Christian Benteke from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract," Palace confirmed on their official website.
"The 25-year-old becomes the Eagles’ fourth signing of the summer after Andros Townsend, James Tomkins and Steve Mandanda.
"Benteke has scored 51 times in the Premier League over the past four seasons after joining Aston Villa from Belgian club Genk in 2012. After three impressive campaigns with the Villans, he made a £32.5 million move to Liverpool last summer where he scored 10 times for the Reds, including one against Palace at Selhurst Park – something he also achieved with Villa the season before."
Benteke said: “I’m very happy to commit my future to Crystal Palace and I’m looking forward to meeting the manager, the players and the staff.
“I feel really happy that the deal has been done and now I can look forward.”
