Popular on air personality Ifedayo Olarinde, better known as Freeze, has been fired by Cool FM.
A source confirmed, this was a result of his last controversial post where he shared a photo cuddling ace comedian Basketmouth’s wife whom he referred to as an old family friend.
The sack was confirmed by the management of Broadcasting and Communications Ltd, parent company to Cool FM Lagos yesterday in a statement informing the public that Freeze has been relieved of his duties.
Freeze before this controversy ensued is the head of On Air Personality (OAP) of the Lagos FM station. Freeze has been in the broadcasting business for over 15 years. Speaking on his broadcasting career and how it has panned out, he once said, “It’s not a job anymore, it’s a way of life. Put a microphone in front of me and I’ll start talking. Broadcasting is what I do.”
Freeze’s ordeal is believed to be orchestrated by the emotionally provoked Basket mouth who apparently activated his influence in a revenge mission to get back at the veteran broadcaster for his excesses on his family.
