The Disney animation climbs up one spot to No. 2 as it continues its strong run, while 'Deadpool' passes $16 million.Local dark comedy Too Young to Die!(Wakakushite Shinu) took the No. 1 spot at the Japanese box office in its delayed bow with ¥2.58 million ($2.5 million) on Saturday and Sunday from 188,000 admissions at 288 screens.
Too Young, the story of a high-school boy who dies in a bus accident and goes to hell before he has a chance to kiss his sweetheart, was directed and written by actor-helmer Kankuro Kudo. The film was originally scheduled for a February release, but was pushed back after a ski bus accident in January killed 15 when the vehicle left the road in mountainous Nagano Prefecture.
Zootopia added another $2 million to take its total in the country to $66.9 million from 5.57 million admissions. The Disney animation climbed one spot up the charts to No. 2 in its tenth weekend to continue its long, strong run in the top three.
