Tekno has been disqualified from the only award category he was nominated for at the Headies 2016, which will take place today, December 22.
The 24-year-old singer was nominated alongside Ycee, Aramide, Humblesmith and Mr.Easi for the 2016 Headies ‘Next Rated’ award category.
Official emails between the organisers and the singer's reps as released by TheNet NG confirm all nominees for the category were required to take part in promotional activities including photo shoots, interviews and more.
Recall that Tekno was never in support of the category he was nominated for. Sometimes ago, he took to Instagram to say "‘Next rated after how many years! Let’s be honest pls".
