For most computers, when u insert a CD or a external usb device on your pc, it autoruns itself
i.e it automatically opens itself thereby exposing your system to virus if you don't have realtime protection with your Antivirus. It is advisable you SCAN your device for virus before using it.
Follow the steps below to disable Autorun on your System;
1. Click start then run(or press windows key + R) and type gpedit.msc and ok.
2. In the pop up window, goto administrative templates under computer configuration then double click on computer components.
3. Look for autoplay policies and double click on it. Then turn off autoplay.
4. In the pop up window select the enable button and on autoplay options select CD and Removable drives, then click apply and ok.
Thats all, you can now insert discs and driver witout autoplay.
Note: you could still follow the process to re-enable it.
